President Biden is the first to ever wear this watch in office - fascinatingly; the watch thats been on the moon, and played a part of American history, has never been worn by a president before now.
The watch that is spotted most often on his wrist - Rolex Datejust 41mm ref. 126200.
This is actually quite unusual, as its the Rolex Day-Date has been widely considered the “President’s watch”. Back in the 1960s President Lyndon Johnson was spotted wearing a gold Day-Date watch. President Johnson went on to gift some Rolex Day-Date pieces to several colleagues during his term, which quickly solidified the watch’s link to the White House. So it's good to see a different Rolex in the White House.
The 46th President of the United States also own an Omega Seamaster 300M Mid-Size 2561.80.
That's the watch that debuted on the wrist of Pierce Brosnan in 1995's Goldeneye. It's also the watch choice of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge.
A $300 Seiko 7T32-6M90 is one of Biden's favourite watches. The model was available in the 1990s and early 2000s, making it a rare find today. He has been seen wearing it in public during meetings and campaign rallies. His Chronograph is a two-toned bracelet and case in silver and gold. Interestingly the press say he chose the Seiko most during his presidential run, perhaps for its ‘I'm one of you,' working-man vibes.
President Biden is also known for being the first US President to wear an Apple Watch while in office. With all the fabulous glitz and functions rest of his watch collection has, its the apple watch that is probably most useful. It can keep his schedule and track his heart rate all at once, making it a great choice for the 46th US Head of State.
