The greatest watches of 2018?

So what has 2018 shown us watch wise? According to the media - and depending on which particular media you read - there is a very definite list of whats made the cut to be considered the best watches of 2018. We took a look at what the papers and magazines say - and put together our own list!  Rolex GMT Master II Of course Rolex is featured on every single list. And causing a stir is the new two shades of brown bi-colour bezel on the new ‘Everose gold’ GMT Master II. We think it looks amazing.  Cartier Santos Designed in 1904 for Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont, the Santos went on to become one of Cartiers most coveted pieces. Its slim profile makes it the perfect dress watch. Its very classy with a genuine never out of date look to it. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore 25th Anniversary Edition Audemars Piguet’s new Royal Oak Offshore marks 25 years since the brand first introduced the watch. It’s a blue and steel good looker, and being a limited edition will no doubt attract the fans. There has been, and no doubt always will be, a Royal Oak in the ‘best watch’ lists. You really cant questions its size and quality. Plus with such a wide variety of colours and editions theres a Royal Oak for everyone. Jaeger Le Coultre Polaris Memovox It's certainly becoming an ‘Marmite’ watch - you either love it or hate it, with such distinct look-  but we think  Jaeger Le Coultre, has created something really good looking here. A Lange & Sohne Triple Split The Triple Split is quite possibly one of the most impressive watches ever made. It allows multi-hour comparative time measurements; the first mechanical watch to ever do it. Nice to see something beautiful AND clever hit the list as well as all the ‘just pretty’ watches! Tag Heuer Monaco by Bamford Watch Department Customiser George Bamford has been causing a scene in amongst biggest brands, and the latest result is this seriously extreme reimagining of the Monaco. Crazy modern looks and certainly one for the ultra hip. It’s limited to just 500 pieces so you’d be incredibly lucky to get one. Panerai Luminor Due We told you the industry was shifting towards smaller watches and the Due is available in 40mm and 42mm, but it’s the 38mm that we love. The smallest Luminor Panerai has ever made. Gorgeous! Hublot Big Bang Unico Known (and celebrated) for its big, wrist dominating, statement making watches, even Hublot has trimmed down the Big Bang to 42mm, quite a feat for the watch with ALL the inner workings and complications its known for. Still showing off its ‘double clutch’  through the open work dial. Bremont Supermarine Endurance In true Bremont spirit, the new Endurance was tested in the harshest conditions. Worn by Ben Saunders as he trekked to the South Pole, unsupported. If you like the rough tough outdoor style watches you will love this. Tudor Black Bay GMT ‘Pepsi-Cola’ Changing it up however just enough to make every fan really want it, Tudor have released the all ready crazy famous ‘Pepsi Cola’ GMT . Longines Legend Diver An industry icon, Longines are usually featured in the best Watch list. This black PVD edition is stunning and bang on trend for the all-black colourways we are seeing everywhere. Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Chronograph This stunning black white combo was released in May this year. Omega celebrates this year the 70th anniversary of the Seamaster, and the new Seamaster 300M will be launched in celebration in the Autumn. We think it may cause just a bit of a sensation! Rolex Deep-Sea D-Blue Dial For the ultimate in ‘THE’ watch to be seen in, try this one; the D-Blue dial shifts from blue to black commemorating James Camerons 2012 dive to the deepest place on earth, the Mariana Trench. This dial was launched in 2014 on a commemorative version, now here it is on this beauty.
