Limited limited editions

Its a big deal in the horology world - a limited edition high end watch. And then just to add to the mystery and 'want' factor the big watch houses also like to bring out 'Limited' Limited Editions. Usually a fantastic artistic version of the limited editions that you or I might buy, these are often a one of, or one of a mere handful. Bell & Ross' BR-X1 Tourbillion Sapphire is a fine example. Marking the launch of the BR-X1 Tourbillion is the one of only FIVE like this. Skelton case, translucent material strap and steel buckle.  Its certainly got all the bells and whistles you'd expect and comes with a price tag of £450,000, assuming you could find one of the five to buy, that is. BR-X1-Tourbillon-Sapphire They also have twenty of the Titanium and diamonds version, much better looking in our humble opinion, for a slightly more agreeable £143,000 BR-X1-Tourbillon-Titane-Sertie-585x1050-2   Piaget lead the way in 'numbered editions' and have an entire collection of such. A glorious example is this Piaget Polo Watch, pink gold, set with over one thousand diamonds - including a diamond set buckle, and a mother of pearl face. You do have to 'enquire' to get the price, and you know the saying - if you have to ask you cant afford it... v11-3   Patek hit the headlines in 2013 with their unique titanium version of the 5400T watch reaching almost $4million dollars at auction...   Patek-Philippe-5004T-onlywatch-2013 Even Tiffany have created a limited limited edition,  the much sort after Tiffany CT-60 Annual Calendar Limited Edition, of which there are only 50 pieces. 2_tiffany-ct60-annual-calendar-limited-edition-watch-with-gray-soleil-finish-1   Of course a super amazing 'limited limited edition' is a great marketing tool for eery watch brand, but by no means should we not appreciate the amount of true craftsmanship in each of these stunning creations.
